Starting at PABCO Roofing in our Maintenance department means you’re ready to be there for your team, are a source of expertise for our equipment, and have a steadfast commitment to safe work practices; to include the commitment to remain free of substances that could compromise your ability to work safely. This position assists with the maintenance of our Facility in a variety of tasks.
Here are the details:
Identifies and repairs problems with vehicles including, but not limited to: forklifts, the front-loader, mini-excavator, pallet jacks, sweepers and trailers.
Maintains plant vehicles with scheduled preventative maintenance practices including oil, brake, transmission and hydraulic fluid changes.
Regularly greases, oils, and repairs all moving parts on vehicles.
Repairs small power hand tools used within vehicle maintenance department.
Rebuilds hydraulic components, brakes, bearings, and drive train components as needed.
Designs and fabricates new and existing vehicle equipment according to instructions as needed.
Determines if parts can be repaired or must be replaced.
Orders and restocks parts and supplies as needed.
Performs general welding and cutting.
Works on special projects as required.
Operates welders, torches, power tools, electric diagnostic equipment, lathes and any other equipment required to perform duties.
Be familiar with electrical systems, battery powered vehicles as well as propane and diesel engines.
Cleans work area and equipment.
Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
All other special projects or tasks as assigned.

This position is physically demanding and requires the following:
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel
Reach with hands and arms
Talk and listen
Stand, walk and sit
Bend at the waist
Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Regular attendance is required
The successful candidate will have:
Expert level experience with Diesel Mechanics, battery and propane systems, and engine repair is required.
Welding experience required.
Strong troubleshooting abilities, including reading and math skills research and problem-solving day to day tasks.
Ability to maintain a forklift license.
Additional requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to perform basic math and use a measuring tape.
