We have an exciting opportunity for a Optics Polishing Technician to work in our Guidance & Navigation Division. As a Optics Polishing Technician, you will get to perform precision polishing, deburring, and cleaning operations on a wide variety of high finish and critical dimensioned glass parts.
In this role, you will also get to:
Set-up and operate a wide variety of bench equipment used to polish and clean diverse glass parts.
Perform critical deburring and polishing operations on hard to handle parts.
Work from drawings, specifications, written and verbal instructions.
Check work with a variety of electrical-mechanical-optical and manual measuring equipment.
Operate small electric hand and bench tools.
Use a variety of proper grit, lapping and polishing compounds.
Perform any other tasks directed by Management to satisfy company objectives.
Required Experience
2+ years’ experience in precision polishing and deburring of diverse sized parts under magnification.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.
Must be able to work on U.S. government programs
