We at Paramount are hiring a full-time, IBEW 403g Maintenance Technician position at the Ed Sullivan Theater!
- Responsible for maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting and repairing the technical production facilities at the Ed Sullivan Theater including: the control room, stage, graphics, EVS, cameras, wireless communications, Avid post-production systems, wired and wireless microphones, in-house RF distribution of TV signals throughout the building, Front of House/PA audio system, Music Mix, Monitor Mix, Post Audio, Sound Effects, Snapstream, Telestream transcode and feed to the BC, Archive.
- Work with CBS Engineering on planning, installing, and implementing technical capital projects.
- Coordinate with CBS IS&T on systems that are connected to the either the Production LAN or the Corporate LAN.
Basic Qualifications
- Must have at least 5 years of experience maintaining all aspects of a broadcast production facility including:
- Audio systems (Lawo, SSL, Digico, Yamaha); wireless microphones; wireless intercom.
- Video systems (Sony HDC-4300 cameras; Sony MVX 8000X switcher, RF Wireless Video for Steadicam).
- Graphics creation and playout (Ross Xpression; Adobe Creative Suite).
- EVS Broadcast Equipment.
- Avid post-production systems.
- Large scale LED screens and projectors along with the engines feeding these systems.
- Proficiency in Audio/video distribution via RF modulated in-house head end.
- Strong experience with networking of production equipment.
Additional Qualifications
- This position requires working late nights, weekends, and company holidays as necessary.
- IP encoded video and audio streams.
- Telestream automated workflows and transcoding.
