Media Relations Specialist Full Time

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Media Relations Specialist.  The Specialist generates a positive global brand image for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center through effective media and influencer engagement. Generates written and multimedia content highlighting Roswell Park programs, activities, innovation, patient stories and personnel and reaches appropriate public and media audiences through strategic outreach/distribution of that content. Cultivates positive relationships with media outlets, reporters and content creators across traditional media and digital media spaces; tells stories through shareable, interactive, measurable brand journalism; maintains and optimizes Roswell Park’s online newsroom as an engaging, interactive resource for all journalists and content creators; monitors media coverage and impact to inform media relations strategy and priorities.  Salary range is $65,001 to $82,656.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time media relations experience
