Responsibilities:
Level 1:
· Accurately enter information and data into AS9102 reports inside of Net-Inspect.
· Ensure that all relevant internal and external documentation utilized for inspection purposes is current.
· Accurately record inspection activities, as required, utilizing the Company’s ERP system.
· Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly prints.
· Perform basic CMM Operations
· Perform inspection by utilizing hand held gages including calipers, micrometers and scales.
· Perform final check to ensure all assemblies and detail parts are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and non-conformance issues.
· Accurately populate quality assurance documentation using industry terms and definitions.
· Assist in Return Material Authorization (RMA) and Material Rejection Report (MRR) processes using Syteline to ensure timely resolution.
· Participate in 3rd Party audits as necessary.
· Maintain an “Ultra C-Lean” working environment by following proper work procedures, ensuring a clean work area, and confirming, at the beginning and end of each shift, that the work area has an accurate inventory of tools.
· Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to safety officials or Quality Supervision.
· Will handle customer supplied products with care.
· Maintain and reinforce ORIZON’s quality standards to meet customer expectations.
· Manage time appropriately and respond quickly to all inquiries so that production, quality and delivery schedules are met.
· Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management
Level 2:
Perform responsibilities associated with a Level 1 Inspector as well as the following:
· Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports using Net-Inspect.
· Create and Complete Return Material Authorization (RMA) and Material Rejection Report (MRR) processes using Syteline to ensure timely resolution.
· Perform intermediate CMM Operations.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in implementation of process improvements.
· Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to safety officials or manufacturing supervision.
· Capture data and images for use in creating a Power Point Presentation to clearly identify any non- conformances.
· Work with Material Review Board (MRB) Coordinator to ensure non-conforming product is clearly identified and placed in MRB cage.
Level 3:
Perform the responsibilities associated with a Level 1 and Level 2 Inspector as well as the following:
· Assist and support Metrology Engineer with operation of Programmable Measurement Equipment –
CMM, Laser Tracker, Romer Arm, etc.
· Participate in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process to ensure true cause has been established and corrected to prevent any reoccurrences.
· Populate FAIs using Inspection-Expert and CATIA V5 models.
· Assist with Calibration System as needed.
Qualifications:
Level 1:
· Must have basic inspection experience with regards to receiving inspection and assembled parts.
· High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
· Must demonstrate the ability to understand and work with basic mathematical concepts
· Must have excellent verbal, written and listening skills and have the ability to provide written and verbal instructions and present information clearly
· Must demonstrate the ability to read, interpret, and understand customer drawing, mylars and sketches as applicable to work being performed at Orizon
· Must be able to acquire required certifications for inspecting and accepting parts in assigned area.
· Must have a positive attitude, professional appearance and demeanor
· Must be able to pass basic skills assessment for Microsoft Excel and also demonstrate basic skills with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
· Must exhibit ability to analyse, troubleshoot & correct quality issues.
· Must be able to pay attention to detail.
· Must be able to use precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales.
· Must have excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
· Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
· Must be able to work extended hours, overtime and weekends when necessary to support production and operations activities.
Level 2:
Must meet all the education, experience and skills of a Level 1 inspector as well as the following:
· Must have demonstrated experience with regards to receiving inspection and assembled parts.
· Must be able to demonstrate the ability to use all facility precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but are not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, bore gages, indicators, and scales.
· Must have knowledge and understanding of all handheld inspections tools and how they are applied to the inspection of parts and assemblies based on the type of characteristics being inspected.
· Must have basic knowledge of Computer Automated Drafting (CAD) systems including the use of CATIA as a DMU Navigator.
· Must have an understanding of Digital Product Definition (DPD)/ Model Based Definition (MBD) and the associated path for embedded engineering flow down.
· Must complete and pass basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) training.
· Must have basic knowledge of auditing techniques as needed to verify Mechanic Verification Program (MVP) activities on the shop floor.
· Must successfully complete Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) course and demonstrate ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and correct problems using problem-solving tools.
Level 3
Must meet all the education, experience and skills of a Level 1 and Level 2 inspector as well as the following:
· Must have demonstrated experience and ability to fully inspect a complex joined assembly.
· Must have strong knowledge of CAD systems and be proficient in the use of CATIA as a DMU Navigator.
· Must have demonstrated ability to use of DPD/MBD and the associated path for embedded engineering flow down.
· Must have demonstrated working knowledge of GD&T and how they are applied to parts. This would include being able to assist in training a lessor experienced inspector in how to understand and interpret the GD&T requirements being imposed.
· Must have demonstrated working knowledge of auditing techniques as needed to verify MVP activities on the shop floor and to assist in preparation for AS9100 and third-party assessments.
· Must have demonstrated the ability to make sound decisions regarding part acceptance/rejection using developed analytical skillset on behalf of Quality Leadership.
· Must demonstrate the ability to understand and work with advanced “shop” mathematical concepts.
· Must be able to operate Coordinate Measurement Software (CMS) equipment such as a Laser Tracker, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Romer Arm, etc. Experience with CMS programming a a plus.
Work Environment and Job Functions:
The office is in a manufacturing facility. As such, while the primary environment will be an office setting, the position will require frequent visits to the production floor where exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles will be present. The noise level in the working environment is usually moderate to lout. Proper safety precautions, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), must be followed as dictated by the job and working environment.

· Effective use of telephone and other applicable electronic communication equipment.
· View and read spreadsheets, and other written documents, as well as computer monitors.
· Must be able to reach in all directions, handle and manipulate objects and materials
· Must be able to coordinate the movement of eyes, hands and fingers to operate machines and equipment
· Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 10 lbs. to a maximum of 40 lbs.
· Must be able to hear with or without correction
