About the Role:
At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, reliable medical technology is essential to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing research. In this advanced Biomedical Engineering role, you will help ensure that complex clinical and research equipment is safe, functional, and ready to support life-saving work every day.
This role goes beyond routine maintenance. You will serve as a technical expert, mentor junior team members, and partner with clinical and research staff to keep critical equipment running smoothly across the organization.
What You’ll Do:
· Perform preventative maintenance and advanced repairs on biomedical and clinical equipment
· Document maintenance and repair work with accuracy and attention to detail
· Support scheduling and completion of monthly preventative maintenance activities
· Train and mentor lower-level biomedical technicians on new and existing equipment
· Provide in-service training and technical support to clinical and research staff
· Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and coordination with vendors
· Troubleshoot complex systems and prioritize work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
What You’ll Bring:
· Experience in the Biomedical or Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) field (AAMI certification preferred)
· Specialized training or certification related to medical devices
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office, IT and networking, and medical device connectivity, including EHR integration
· Proven customer support experience with demonstrated achievements
· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
· Strong system troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
· Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and vendor coordination
