The Staff Accountant plays a pivotal role in our finance team, contributing to the management of financial transactions, preparing comprehensive reports, and ensuring strict adherence to accounting principles and company policies.
Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
Assist with monthly financial statements.
Maintains the general ledger.
Prepare monthly journal entries required during closing.
Codes invoices, sets up new accounts/projects, reconciles accounts, and closes the books monthly.
Supports accounts receivable, payroll, and accounts payable functions.
Assist with the preparation of documents for the annual audit process.
Collaborate with Finance/Accounting team members to improve processes, procedures, and overall efficiency of the Finance/Accounting function.
Verifies payment of invoices and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts/projects.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel). Other computer-based knowledge such as Power Automate is an added benefit. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical financial practices.
