Carpenter/Maintenance Worker Full Time

Community Access Unlimited is seeking self-motivated handyman for program facilities to perform grounds keeping, light maintenance duties, electrical work, plumbing, tiling, flooring, and snow removal. Our programs are located in Union County, NJ EEO

This is an hourly position with the schedule of Monday-Friday 7am-3pm with flexibility. A valid driver’s license required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Light general maintenance and repair including painting, electric, plumbing, tile and flooring
Prepping and painting
Safe operation of commercial grade tools
Repairs or replaces electric, paneling, and floor tiles
Ensures the facility, grounds, and equipment are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition
Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery
Assist with snow removal detail
Performs other duties as required
Attends required trainings, staff meetings, and other meetings/events as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in general maintenance work including the operation of heavy equipment
Familiarity with painting tools and equipment
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
Experience working in an outdoor or indoor building environment
High school diploma or GED required
Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, climb a ladder and lift heavy objects as needed
Valid driver’s license and car for work purposes
5 years of Carpentry Experience
