In this role, you will oversee patient flow and supervise care areas during their assigned tour of duty, ensuring a smooth and high-quality experience for every patient. As the on-site administrative leader after hours, you’ll make critical operational decisions, manage departmental resources, and collaborate with leadership as needed.

The starting annual salary is $120,132 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed salary reflects the potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Required Education and Experience
License and Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
2. Certification or eligibility for Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting including one (1) year of nursing supervisory/lead experience; or
2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting including one (1) year experience in an oncology support setting and one (1) year of nursing supervisory/lead experience; or
3. Associate’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting including one (1) year of nursing supervisory/lead experience; or
4. Associate’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting including one (1) year experience in an oncology support setting and one (1) year of nursing supervisory/lead experience.
NOTE:
1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the appropriate certification within eighteen (18) months of their appointment to this title.
2. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
3. Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher, along with a professional nursing certification. The candidate should also bring strong clinical and leadership experience, including a background in critical care and prior supervisory or managerial roles. A minimum of 3 years of charge nurse experience and 5 years of oncology nursing experience is highly preferred.
